- Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz, guitarist for Tokio Hotel, are married. Apparently, they kept the news under wraps for FOUR months.
- They first announced their engagement in December 2018.
Well, hello there! In case you were wondering, Heidi Klum, model and new host of Making the Cut with Tim Gunn, is now married. Last time I checked, she and her boyfriend Tom Kaulitz from
everyone’s favorite emo band Tokio Hotel announced their engagement in December 2018! But in a surprise twist, she and Tom pulled a Justin and Hailey Bieber, and secretly tied the knot just two months after their engagement, in February, TMZ reports. It’s a lot to process!
Allow me to get you up to speed: In 2014, Heidi split from her longtime husband, Seal. They were married for a whopping nine years!!! Tom, on the other had, filed for divorce from his now ex-wife, Ria Sommerfield, in 2016. Just two years later, the fates allowed for Tom and Heidi to meet through a connection at Germany’s Next Top Model. Rumors started circulating that the pair was dating in February 2018, and the couple made their first public appearance later on in May 2018 at the Cannes amfAR Gala.
When Us Weekly asked Heidi if she saw a future with Tom in October 2018, she either played it coy, knowing they’d likely get engaged two months later or genuinely had no idea that Tom would pop the question. “Let’s see! Time will tell,” she told Us. “We haven’t been together for that long. We only just met in February.” LOL, suuuure. But on Christmas Eve that same year, she revealed that they were indeed engaged. These two move fast.
Now let’s fast forward to February 22 of this year. According to the new report, Heidi and Tom were seen leaving Mr. Chow in Los Angeles looking they had just enjoyed a delicious meal, but really they were celebrating their marriage! The wedding date in particular was really special to them, considering that Heidi says that they met on that same day in 2018.
Heidi, Tom, we’re all really happy for you, but maybe next time give us lil heads up, mmkay?
